Dreaming is a common experience for most people. If you don't dream or remember your dreams, it indicates that you are spiritually weak or dead. Fasting and prayer can help revive your spiritual senses, as dreams are one of the most familiar ways the Holy Spirit speaks to us.
Even if you don't believe in the spiritual realm, analyze your dream life. When you dream, you often find yourself in another realm or environment. That environment is a symbol of the spiritual realm. While some dreams may originate from our soul or flesh, such as lucid dreams, they're not reliable.
Dreams from the Holy Spirit, however, provide vital evidence of the reality of the spiritual realm. As a child of God, I can attest to the reality of the spiritual realm because the Holy Spirit has opened a portal for me to access certain aspects of it. I have had visions that can help you know and understand the practical, experiential, and biblical knowledge I am about to share. Apostle Peter affirmed the prophecies of the prophet Joel, stating that in the last days, sons and daughters will prophesy, young men will see visions, and old men will dream dreams. See Acts chapter 2, verse 16 21.
This means that dreams and visions are part of God's plans for these last days. Anyone who condemns visions, prophetic dreams, and spiritual encounters is fighting against the Holy Spirit. Now, let me share seven practical, experiential, and biblical keys to help you see visions and encounter the spiritual realm.
These keys have worked for me and are based on my personal experiences. By following them, you can also experience the reality of the spiritual realm.
The first key to visions and spiritual encounters is holiness. Holiness means setting yourself apart for God and separating yourself from things that do not glorify Christ Jesus and His Kingdom. If you want to see visions and encounter the spiritual realm, set yourself apart for Christ Jesus and His Kingdom.
The more you dedicate yourself to Him, the more the Holy Spirit will reveal Himself to you. 2. The second key to visions is sanctification and purity of life. Christ Jesus stated that blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. Sanctification involves making a consistent effort to come out of specific bondages and evil habits.
Purity, especially in the area of sexual purity, is crucial for Freedom from sexual activities and thoughts enhances your ability to have visions and spiritual encounters.
The fear of God, almsgiving, and fasting are vital keys to visions and spiritual encounters. Cornelius, a devout man who feared God, encountered an angel and had visions because of his reverence for God, his generosity towards others, and his consistent prayers . Reverencing God, engaging in fasting, and practicing acts of charity open the door to spiritual encounters.
Worship and praise using the watches of the night is another key to visions and spiritual encounters. David, known for his worship, had numerous visions and encounters. Worship and praises create a portal for you to see visions and encounter the spiritual realm. Understanding the significance of the watches of the day and night can enhance your spiritual experiences.
