This is your author, Duodu Henry Appiahkorang. Once again, I’m here to share how I wrote over 40 books and over 350 articles within three years. This is the introduction section, and I will share with you some of the principles I used and how I came up with these important articles and books, which have changed many people's lives.
I described some of my principles in the previous message I shared on my YouTube channel. However, I’ve laid down my principles and how God helped me become an author, blogger, and writer.
I will share most of my principles with you, and I believe that following them will help you. I encourage you to share this important message with your loved ones and friends.

In this short message, I will pinpoint it step by step. This message is for writers, bloggers, and authors. I’m going to share some of my principles and experiences. It is point by point.
I will give you twelve practical steps on how I wrote over 350 articles and over 40 books within three years. Share this important message with your friends who are authors, bloggers, and writers to help them in their lives.
I have been receiving messages through email and on my Facebook page. People are asking me how to write books and articles on several channels. They tell me they want to write but are going through some problems.
I will use my little experience and what God has given me to help you. I’m going to share some of these key points with you, and I encourage you to listen to my previous message on my YouTube channel again.
This message cut around. Whether you are a fictional writer or a non-fictional writer, it will work for you if you apply these principles. Whether you're a Christian author, an inspirational author, or you write motivational and mystery books. Any book that you write.
Whether you write on blogs or in other formats, applying these principles will work. I am sharing the principles and skills I followed in my writing journey. If you follow them, you will become an excellent and faster writer.
The first key you must know is that you have to be born again. You must be born again to be a Christian writer and write inspired books. That is the first point.
When I say you must be born again, it simply means repenting and confessing Jesus Christ as your Saviour and Lord. Christ Jesus must become the Savior and the Lord over your life because if you are not born again, you will not be inspired by the Spirit of God.
By God's grace, I am born again. I have repented and surrendered my life to Christ Jesus. Christ Jesus is my Lord, Savior, and King of my life. To become an excellent inspirational writer, you must be born again. I’ll make it very short and snappy so that you can get the main point.
If you want to write inspirational articles and books, give your life to Christ Jesus because when Christ Jesus comes into your life, He gives you the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will inspire you to be writing. The second key that helps me and can also help you is that you must build a consistent prayer life.
For instance, I love praying a lot. I pray more in the Spirit, so you must build a consistent prayer life to become an excellent writer. If you are not baptized in the Spirit, get baptized.
You must be baptized in the Holy Spirit to pray in tongues. When I pray more in tongues, the Holy Spirit gives me ideas. The more I prayed, the more ideas I received.
That's the second point. You must build a consistent prayer life. Whatever I’m teaching you, I practice them. I have my personal prayer life. Most often, I pray in the evening and at dawn.
I pray as led by the Holy Ghost. While I’m praying, ideas come into my soul and spirit. The third point is that you must feed more on the Word of God. During your quiet time, the Holy Spirit can inspire you to write a particular book or article.
For instance, when I’m reading the Word of God and studying the Holy Bible, the Holy Spirit can give me a particular topic to write about. You can read the Holy Bible book by book.
You can study the Holy Bible topic by topic and chapter by chapter. You must have time to feed on the Word of God. Get Bible software. We are in the technological era. I use a power Bible CD and e-sword. I also have Word and premium Bible software.
Get bible software on your computer and laptop while studying the Word of God. The Bible software can help you get scripture to write your book. I have Bible software on my electronic devices.
I gather scriptures that help me write my books. I have Ryrie's Study Bible, with references that help me check different citations. The next point is that you must encourage yourself. You must encourage yourself consistently because you will be discouraged sometimes.
You have to build hope. You have to build and celebrate every progress. I encourage myself most often. You see, at this stage, you will not have your family and friends to encourage you.
Build a cauldron of hope, and it will help you in your writing journey. The more that you have hope, the more you encourage yourself. The more you celebrate every step, the more it helps you become an excellent writer.
Whatever I’m teaching you, I practice them. The next point is to write every idea that comes into your mind. While you are praying, the Holy Spirit can give you the idea. When the idea comes up, don't delay and say I’ll write it later. Don't do that when the idea comes.
You have to get a notepad, journal, exercise book, pen, paper, or smartphone and write the idea down. Writing the ideas down can help you build on your point as an author.
For instance, while I’m praying, the Holy Ghost gives me ideas, which I write on my phone. My phone has a journal, laptop, and notepad installed.
When the ideas drop, I write down the points. After I write down the points, I can build on the outline and draft. The next point is that you must invest in yourself. When I say invest in yourself, I mean buy, download, and read more books. For example, if you are called to write Christian books, you must spend money to buy and read Christian books.
If you are called to write inspirational books, purchase and download inspirational books. Read the particular genre you know you are called to write. We have what we call fictional and nonfiction books.
I am in the nonfiction group, so I write nonfiction Christian self-help books. I occasionally read other topics to expand my knowledge, so make sure that you invest in yourself.
Read books, listen to important messages, watch important videos, and listen to people on your path. Reading their books will help you become a better writer.
It will help you grow in wisdom and knowledge. The next point is that you must eliminate every form of distraction in your life. For instance, when I’m writing, I put off anything that will limit me.
For example, TV programs, social media, movies, games, and some songs must be off during the writing season. It is time to cut off some friends and TV programs. I don't have time to watch television; I don't have time to be on social media for a long time.
When I use social media, I am focused. I come there to do business and connect with my followers. I also come online to market my books and other people's books.
If you spend too much time on television, Netflix, video games, songs, and movies, they will limit your time. Time is an asset, so you must learn how to eliminate every form of distraction.
Time lost cannot be regained. Next, you must gather adequate knowledge from successful people in your field. For example, if you know successful people in your field, learn from them.
Read their biographies. Read their success stories, blogs, and books, watch their videos and listen to their messages on podcasts and other channels. Learn from them so that you can avoid their mistakes and advance at a higher pace.
The next key is to follow the process. I started writing on WhatsApp and social media platforms, including Facebook, so sometimes, it comes slowly. You write little by little. From there, you progress to a blogging platform.
Then you move to long articles and then start writing books. You must follow the process. Write in small groups. You can write something small and show it to your loved ones.
As you keep doing it, your writing skills will improve. Then, you start writing and posting them on social media platforms. Post them on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other social media channels.
I started that way, and it's a process you must follow. The next step is learning to use technology, such as Microsoft Word, to type your books and articles.
Microsoft Word is an excellent software for writing and editing books. Grammarly and Pro Writing Aid software can help you edit your books online. Numerous software can edit your books offline and online, so learn how to use the software.
The software can help you edit your books and become a better writer. Microsoft Word is my main writing and editing tool, so you must learn how to use it. I use the premium version of Grammarly.
You can use the free version of this software. Numerous writing and editing software programs exist. The best I can recommend are Grammarly Premium and Pro Writing Aid Premium.
If you can't afford the premium versions, use the free ones. There are many author tools that can help you in your writing journey. The next key is always to type and edit your books.
When you type and edit your books, it builds your writing skills. It builds your writing capacity and makes you an excellent writer. When you type and edit your books, you can edit the inappropriate content and add more value to the content.
I’m sacrificial and consistent. I discipline myself, so you must be sacrificial, consistent, and disciplined. I shared with you in the previous point that you must type your work. I type and edit my books and articles. It is the training season.
The next time you write, you will not repeat that mistake if you type and edit your books. It goes that way, so you must be sacrificial, consistent, and disciplined because you can't write without these virtues.
Without consistency, you can’t complete your writing. Without discipline, you cannot manage to sit down and write. If you follow these principles, they can help you in your writing journey.
The next point is to build a system for your books and articles. You can start with free blogging platforms such as Blogger and WordPress. There are many free blogging platforms you can begin with.
Write and publish your articles and books online so people can read them. We are in a global village. Nowadays, someone can be in Ghana, Nigeria, the USA, the UK, India, China, Kenya, and any country. They will get access to your books and articles if they are online.
If you have a blogging platform, it stretches your writing journey. Create a blogging platform. Write, edit and publish your articles on these platforms. Create a Facebook page for your books and articles.
Create a Twitter page, Instagram account, and YouTube channel to share and promote your articles and books. Who knows, somebody might like them.
If you follow these practical steps, they will help you. In summary, the first key point is that you must be born again. Number two is that you must build a consistent prayer life.
Pray more in tongues. Number three, feed more on the Word of God. Get bible study tools, buy a hard copy of the Holy Bible, and then read them. Whatever I’m teaching you, I practice them.
I am sharing my experience and the principles that I used to write. The third key is that you must encourage yourself consistently. Build hope for yourself and celebrate every success of your journey. The next key point is to write every idea that comes into your mind.
Don't procrastinate when the idea comes. Find an exercise book and a notepad. Write the idea down. You can build on the idea later. The next point is to invest in yourself.
Buy, download and read the kind of book you want to write. If you're in the Christian section, read Christian books. If you are in the non-fictional section, read non-fictional books.
If you are in the fictional section, read fictional books. As you are reading, it builds your writing skills and capacity. Whatever I’m sharing with you, I do it. I love reading Christian books.
However, I read about other topics to expand my knowledge. The next key is to eliminate every form of distraction. For example, you must eliminate TV programs, social media activities, movies, games, songs, and friends.
Every barrier to becoming resourceful must be dealt with. The next key is to build an inner value. If you don't, you will develop an inferiority complex.
Sometimes, people will criticize you destructively. You may have self-doubt: bad culture and destructive ideology. Build an inner value to break these negative mindsets and environments.
Get my book on how to break the spirit of inferiority. Sometimes, you feel inferior because of your financial status, family background, colour, and culture. If you don't build an inner value and break all this negative mindset, it can dump and imprison you not to become an excellent writer.
The next key point is to gather adequate knowledge from successful people in your field. Read the success stories of people who have done it in your field, read their biographies, read their books, and listen to their messages and podcasts.
Watch their videos, learn from them and avoid their mistakes in their writing journey. The next point is to follow the process. I began writing on WhatsApp groups and my Facebook profile system.
I started by writing quotes and posting them to websites. Then, I started blogging and reading books. The next point is to learn how to use technology. I learned how to use Microsoft Word and editing software like Grammarly and Pro Writing Aid.
The next point is to always type and edit your books. Doing that will make you an excellent writer and help you avoid the mistakes that you made in your previous work.
If you can afford an editor to help you edit your book, do it. Be sacrificial, consistent, and disciplined. I discipline myself to write so that I can be more resourceful.
Sacrifice your leisure and comfort zone. Sacrifice some of the games you play and the movies you watch. Sacrifice your friends who have been limiting you in your writing journey.
I mean, cut them from your life—people going nowhere. Eliminate or cut the friendship to get ample time to be resourceful. These are my top principles of writing.
